About the race
The race.
The Oak Park Challenge is a 7-mile trail race held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. from Oak Park Recreation Center at 2250 Oakwood Ave NE and follows a trail course on Monte Sano Mountain, climbing over 3 miles to the summit before returning. Packet pickup occurs on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet Huntsville, with early Sunday pickup available at 7:00 a.m. for out-of-town runners. Aid stations with water are located at approximately 2 and 4 miles. All finishers receive a race shirt and finisher gift. The course is marked with pink Fleet Feet flags.
