About the race
The race.
The Quarry Summer Challenge takes place August 29, 2026, at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, Ohio. Runners choose between 5K, 10K, or 15K distances on an out-and-back 1.55-mile loop course. The race starts at 8:00 AM with packet pickup beginning at 7:30 AM. Runners who register by August 15 receive a short-sleeve race shirt; registrations after that date do not include a shirt. Overall winners in each distance receive special awards, and all finishers receive a medal.
