The race.
The Shawangunk Runners Summer Solstice Run takes place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Kerhonkson, NY. The 8.6-mile course follows unpaved carriage paths through Minnewaska State Park Preserve. Bib pickup begins at 5 p.m., with the race starting at 6:30 p.m. from the Cliffhouse Picnic area. All finishers receive a commemorative towel, and awards are given to the top three overall finishers and top three in each standard 10-year age group. Post-race refreshments are provided. The race is limited to 250 entrants and has closed. Parking costs $10 per vehicle; carpooling is encouraged, with single-occupant vehicles directed to a lower lot.
