The race.

The Spencer Glacier Dash takes place on June 7, 2026, in Portage, Alaska. Participants run 5 miles on the Spencer Glacier Overlook Trail. The race begins and ends at Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop, with transportation provided by Alaska Railroad train departing from Portage Train Depot. Registration closes May 24th and is capped at 100 participants. Race registration includes a discounted train ticket; early-bird pricing begins April 18th with tiered pricing through May 24th for adults (ages 12+) and youth (ages 7–11).
