About the race
The race.
The Tidewater Striders Annual Picnic takes place August 22, 2026, at 1585 Lake James Drive in Virginia Beach, VA. The waterfront venue opens at 4pm for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, and a 2-mile loop run around the lake. Beverages and snacks are available during the afternoon activities. Dinner is served at 5pm; club members are asked to contribute a dish—side dishes or salads for last names A–M, desserts for N–Z—while the club provides drinks and cookout food. This event is for club members and their families.
