Advanced Sailing July 25 is a two-day adult sailing class held July 25–26, 2026, at Fiddler's Cove Marina in San Diego, CA. Classes run from 9 am to 4 pm and are open to eligible participants including active duty personnel (E1–E6 and E7+), retirees, veterans, DoD employees, and sponsored civilian guests; minimum age is 16 with parental consent. Instruction covers Intermediate-level sailing on Catalina Capri 22 boats with one to four students per boat depending on conditions and skills. Registration includes boat rental, instruction, and textbooks; participants receive a Navy Sailing Qualification Card upon completion. A valid California Boater Card or course completion certificate is required before the first class. Pre-registration is mandatory; study materials are available at the boathouse. Closed-toe shoes are required aboard Navy boats.
