About the race
The race.
The Bethany Beach Firecracker 5K takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, starting at 7:15 a.m. from the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Garfield Parkway. Packet pickup is available Saturday, June 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Harvest Tide Steakhouse, or Sunday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 a.m. at the Bethany Beach Bandstand. Awards are presented at 8:15 a.m. All race proceeds benefit the Bethany Beach Fourth of July Celebration. Participants must note that shirts and packets are not mailed; if unable to attend, arrangements must be made for someone else to collect the packet and shirt.
