About the race
The race.
The Brian Diemer Family of Races takes place on June 13, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at Legacy Christian School (67 68th Street). The event offers multiple distances: a 5K run/walk, 3.1-mile run, 1K steeplechase, 1000m run, 200m run, and a 100-meter Special Olympics Sprint for Inclusion. Racing begins at 8:15 a.m. with the Special Olympics sprint, followed by handcycle and My Team Triumph at 8:28 a.m., and the main 5K at 8:30 a.m. A kids' steeplechase runs from 10:15–10:45 a.m. on the soccer field. Packet pickup occurs Friday, June 12, from 4–7 p.m., and Saturday morning from 7–8:15 a.m. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before May 26. Age group awards go to the top four finishers in each category, with a substantial prize purse for elite competitors. Six live bands perform along the course.
