About the race

The race.

This Level I Coaching Certification course runs June 13–14, 2026, at 156 West 56th Street, 5th Floor in New York, NY, hosted by New York Road Runners. Both days run 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with lunch provided each day. The in-person seminar combines individual exercises, small-group work, and discussion covering coaching principles, exercise physiology, running form, periodized training, sports psychology, nutrition, injury recognition, and environmental factors affecting performance. Participants must complete a preparatory webinar before the course, apply Day One concepts to informal training-plan sketches, and participate fully in Day Two group program-development activities. Registration is limited to 35 participants. Current CPR and First Aid certifications must be provided within 60 days after the course. An open-book online exam (score of 85/100 or higher required) is due within 30 days after the course concludes.
