The race.
The Roots Rock Run 5K takes place on June 27, 2026, in Plainfield, NJ, featuring a 5K run, 1-mile run, 1-mile walk, and virtual 5K option. The in-person race starts at 10 a.m. at Milt Campbell Field, 1322 East 3rd Street. Early registration is free through April 15, then $20 until June 16. The first 50 registrants receive a commemorative t-shirt. Youth ages 8 and older may participate in six-week training sessions held Saturdays from 9–10:30 a.m. at Plainfield High School, North Gym, beginning April 25 at no cost.
