The race.

The Virtual Ostomy 5K – Worldwide takes place on October 3, 2026, organized by United Ostomy Associations of America to mark Ostomy Awareness Day. Participants complete a 5K distance in their chosen manner—running, walking, rolling, swimming, or cycling—at any location worldwide or indoors. Registration includes a unisex adult or youth T-shirt and bib; early bird registration closes July 31, 2026, and standard registration closes September 4, 2026, to guarantee shirt sizes. Participants can create or join race groups and fundraise, with those raising $150 or more receiving a refunded registration fee. Fundraisers reaching $250 or $450 receive awards at the Empower and Champion levels respectively. Referrals of five additional participants result in a $20 registration refund.
