The race.
Hero-Up for Children's Cancer hosts a 5K race and kids' race on September 5, 2026, at Cook Park in Tigard, Oregon, with all net proceeds supporting children's cancer research. A virtual 5K option is also available, with participants completing their run anytime between September 5–19 and submitting results via text or web form. Register by August 4 to receive a race shirt. Results are ranked by overall placement, gender, and age group. The organization has donated $888,500 to pediatric cancer research at OHSU and the Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute over the past 12 years.
