Knight Run 2026

The race.

Southern Virginia University's Knight Run takes place on October 31, 2026, in Buena Vista, VA, offering a 5K race and an 800m course for junior participants (ages 3–10). The 5K begins at 9:30 AM with race registration and packet pickup starting at 8:30 AM. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers, top three in men's and women's categories, and top three Junior Knights under age 10. A costume contest runs throughout the event with categories including fastest costume, scariest, most creative, and best school spirit. Post-race festivities from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM feature food trucks, live music, and yard games. Early bird registration through September 30 costs $30 and includes a foam sword; standard registration is $35.
