OBX GO FAR 2026 FALL PROGRAM REGISTRATION

OBX GO FAR is a five-week fall training program for elementary and middle school students in Dare County, running September 21 through October 23, 2026. Participants train for either a 3.1-mile 5K or 1-mile fun run, culminating in the Dare to Scare race in Manteo on October 24 at 8 a.m. Registration costs $48 per child and includes a training t-shirt, medal, and swag. Training sessions, lasting approximately 45 minutes to one hour, are held at seven locations across Kill Devil Hills and surrounding areas on Mondays and Wednesdays. The program is open to kindergarten through eighth-grade students from public, private, and homeschooled families. Scholarships are available for families in need.
