The race.
The 29th Bill Degnan "Faith in Human Spirit" 5K is held on June 7, 2026, at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Delaware. The 5K race covers 3.11 miles on a mixed-surface course of track, road, and grass across the school campus, with a 7:30 a.m. start time. Kids' races for ages 6–7 follow at approximately 8:45–9:00 a.m. and are free with no registration required. The 5K entry fee is $30 through May 24, $35 through June 6, and $40 on race day; registrations received by June 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt. All kids' race finishers receive ribbons. Proceeds benefit the Bill Degnan Scholarship for Cape Henlopen High School track and cross country athletes.
